About us

Built by linguists who have stood in the room.

Adulis Language Partners exists because Tigrinya and Amharic speakers deserve the same standard of interpretation as anyone else — in court, in hospital and in front of an authority.

Who we are

A small practice, deliberately focused.

Our work began in courtrooms and hospital wards, where the consequence of a misheard word is not a complaint but a wrong verdict, a wrong diagnosis or a claim wrongly refused. That background shapes how we organise everything: a tight roster of linguists we know personally, a coordinator who answers during the assignment, and no work passed to people we have never tested.

We specialise in three languages rather than thirty. Tigrinya, Amharic and English cover the assignments our clients bring us — hearings, protection interviews, consultations and certified documents — and they are the languages we can staff reliably, at short notice, in both directions.

Institutions come to us for the languages they cannot fill elsewhere, and stay for the process: written quotes, clear invoicing, confidentiality on file and a delivery that has already been checked twice before it reaches them.

Precision

Terminology is researched per case, never improvised. Legal and clinical terms are checked against the wording the institution itself uses.

Discretion

Linguists work under signed confidentiality undertakings, and case files move through encrypted, access-controlled systems.

Availability

Court dates move and patients arrive early. We hold capacity for same-day assignments and keep a coordinator reachable throughout.

Our linguists

How we select the people who speak for you.

Being bilingual is not enough. Every linguist on our roster is interviewed, tested and referenced before their first assignment — and reviewed after it.
